What it is
The book opens sometime in the future, on a stage, with a question the men who kept the file still cannot answer. Then it goes backward. Past the name. Past the campaigns. Into a life that did not leave a clean trail.
01
Severe rural neglect. Medical abuse under Munchausen by proxy. Pills meant to make a boy quiet. They made a rebel instead.
02
Minnesota winter. A passenger van. A heater that quit. No house. The ice the dedication is talking about.
03
Cass Corridor, mid-2000s. The street name was Fuzzbuster. Dominique. Cancer. An ambush. Grief, exile, a psychedelic rebirth.
Origins of a Demon is an unfiltered account of institutional violence, the underworld, and what is left when a system tries to break someone and builds a demon instead. It is not a brand deck. It is the only volume written.

Chapter · The Frozen Van
Cold does not negotiate, and it does not care who you think you are. Minnesota in the dead of winter will take a family that already has nothing and grind that nothing down until the only thing left is breath you can see and metal you cannot touch without pain.
We were in an old passenger van with a heater that coughed, rattled, and then gave up. My mother, my brother, my sister, and me. No house. No backup plan that actually worked. Just a rolling icebox parked wherever we would not get towed for a few hours.
Rural winter homelessness is quieter than the picture on the news. There is no steam grate. There is a two-lane road and a van that conducts the cold the way a skillet conducts heat.
Early pages
Humor was not just a hobby. It was survival gear. If I sat still, the drugs would win. So I became the class clown, because laughter was the only thing that could shock me awake.
They tried to turn me into a docile, medicated ghost before I even had the chance to figure out who I was. They wanted a quiet boy who would sit in the corner, swallow his medicine, and never make a sound. Instead, they built the foundation for a rebel.
He names it in the book as Munchausen by proxy: a parent’s story, a fifteen-minute prescription, and a child with no attorney in the room.
Prologue · Sometime in the future
The first thing I notice when I reach the podium is that I cannot see where the people end. Waterfront Park is packed. For once, the city looks like it belongs to the people who live in it.
After all these years, that is the part we never had. We had investigations and records. We never really had the backstory. What created Jeremy NoFucks Ryan?
The prologue is a frame, set sometime in the future. It is not a news report. The memoir that follows is the backstory the frame is asking for.
The autobiography
Volume I is on sale, with free chapters in the preview. Volumes II through X have no titles and no dates.
